On Friday 8th July 2011, emCETT will be hosting the next Regional Coaching Ambassador meeting, for the East Midlands, on behalf of LSIS. We would like to invite all STEM providers to participate and shape the way coaching is used and celebrated in the future.
emCETT would like to bring together people with an interest in coaching, whether that interest is for continued personal development or just to discover what coaching is and what benefits it can bring. The Coaching Ambassadors' role is to highlight the great work coaching has achieved in recent years through various LSIS programmes, such as the Subject Learning, Coach, E-guide and Professional Development Advisors Programmes and their advanced level equivalents. Each of these roles has a core of coaching skills as the basis for peer-supported professional and organisational development.
emCETT has been involved with all of these programs, in either an advisory and/or a delivery role and has, recently, seen a decrease in STEM representation within the training and the networks. We are therefore inviting experienced STEM teaching staff to join the coaching ambassador events and network to help shape coaching, and the benefits of the approach, for the future.
Personally, I have enjoyed working with STEM colleagues since the early days of the Subject Learning Coach programme and have had many insightful and motivating discussions within them. I am therefore certain that a more vocal
STEM presence in these regional events and networks will add considerable value, for all concerned.
The next event will be taking place at South Leicestershire College on Friday 8th July. It will be a half day event (am) but I will be available, all day, to answer any questions you may have.
Please follow the link below to register for the event. LSIS accounts can be used.
I look forward to meeting you at this event. (LSIS accounts can be accessed for the event.)
